Welcome

Hello,

Today, you are one step closer to a new you, feeling empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.

Are you feeling disconnected, struggling to feel like your place in life matters, connecting to friends in your community or at work feels hopeless? not feeling understood by your family and friends leaves you feeling anxious and makes getting all the tasks in your life feel impossible. If you are a parent, worry about how your kids are doing, socially or academically overwhelms you and differing opinions with your partner only make things worse.  At times, work can also feel overwhelming and difficult to set boundaries and say no to people.

Anxiety, perfectionism, difficulty trusting others, depression are limiting your ability to feel confident and content with your life, work, family and friends. Therapy can help you to cope with these feelings and help you to let go of that nagging feeling that you are responsible for everyone's struggles. It can give you freedom from the "shoulds" and "should nots", and help center yourself so you can concentrate on what's important to you, as well as connect to others in a way that feels satisfying and meaningful.

My goal as your therapist is to help you uncover what makes you feel grounded and connected. While we can't always change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will work to understand and change long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you and your relationships back from experiencing more fulfillment and greater meaning.

Having the time and space for you to feel understood and heard can lead to lasting change in the discovery of new ways to express and cope with your emotions, as well as ending negative cycles in relationships with yourself, family, and friends.

I am a licensed clinical social worker specializing in psychodynamic therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. I completed my masters degree at Fordham University's Graduate School of Social Work. At the Training Institute for Mental Health, I completed additional training in a 4-year program in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. Currently, I maintain a practice in Manhasset, NY and teach and supervise students at the Training Institute for Mental Health in New York City. I am a member of the Psychoanalytic Practitioners of Long Island, as well as a member of the American Association for Clinical Social Workers.

If you're looking for extra support and guidance, to create healthier relationships and to create the life that you have been dreaming of, take the next step.

Please call 917 696 3352 or email me for a consultation today. Currently I am seeing patients in person and via telehealth.
